We made it, besties. Again.
Another week, another full inbox, 73 open Safari tabs, and at least 3 meltdowns. But we survived—and that calls for a little celebration. Not the “tequila shots at 10 p.m.” kind of celebration (those days are behind me, respectfully), but the luxuriously low-key kind. Think: clean sheets, and a big ol’ bowl of carbs.

Here’s how I hit reset on Friday nights, so I can trick myself into feeling like a functioning adult by Monday:
📵 1. Phone Detox
Friday night (but really every night) I put my phone on Do Not Disturb faster than you can say “doomscroll.” My screen time will thank me. And I won’t accidentally Amazon Prime my way into another 2 a.m. identity crisis.
🧴 2. Self-Tan Therapy
Nothing says “I have my life together” like faking a healthy glow. I slap on my favorite clean self-tanner and pretend the soft, flattering glow on my face isn’t just from my laptop at 100% brightness since Monday. Rituals.
🎧 3. Podcast + Pasta Combo
I cue up a comfort podcast—usually something that feels like a FaceTime call I’m not emotionally required to answer—and head straight for the kitchen. A heaping bowl of pasta (full-carb since I started running)), glass of wine, and I’m living my best “girl dinner” dream.
🛁 4. Slow Down. Like, Really Slow.
After all that, I force myself to actually slow down—which is harder than it sounds when your brain runs on to-do lists and iced coffee. I’ll light a candle, maybe journal if I’m feeling emotionally available, or just lay in bed like a Victorian woman recovering from a dramatic faint—claw clip barely hanging on, zero responsibilities in sight. Oh, and the most important part – getting in bed at an embarrassingly early hour. Like, don’t text me after 8:30—I’ve already clocked out.

We’ve officially traded vodka sodas and stilettos for fuzzy socks and skincare serums —and honestly? It’s everything I ever wanted. Happy Friday, folks. 🥰
